GOS ACCESS approaches the promotion of ecoregimes through a multifactorial analysis of various practices proposed in four crops with very different agronomic challenges, and for which agronomic applications included in the catalog of ecoregimes combined with precision agriculture and digitization are selected.<\/p>\n
The European Union’s new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which came into force in 2023, includes provisions related to eco-regimes. These are a new instrument designed to promote sustainable and environmentally beneficial agricultural practices. <\/p>\n
Eco-schemes are intended to encourage the voluntary adoption of farming practices that go beyond the basic CAP requirements and provide environmental and climate benefits. They offer economic incentives to farmers who implement such practices, including biodiversity management, soil protection and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. <\/p>\n

To evaluate the economic, social and environmental impact (costs, soil conservation, biodiversity, among others) of the application of the different agronomic strategies proposed for each type of ecoregime (intercropping, biostimulation, biodiversity spaces and covers) and compare them with current practices.<\/p>\n

Validate in different Spanish agricultural contexts the capacity of ecoregimes as a pest and disease control tool, compared to the usual method, including the evaluation of the sanitary and quality status, as well as the harvesting behavior of the cultivated product in the different models. The evaluation of the incidence and severity of pests and diseases in each of the practices used will be carried out. <\/p>\n

Analyze the complementarity or synergies existing between the different ecoregimes allowed in each type of crop in order to plan their implementation as efficiently as possible.<\/p>\n

Transfer of the knowledge base generated in order to propose to producers a correct implementation according to the different ecoregimes and crop types to meet the main objective of biodiversity enhancement and soil conservation.<\/p>\n
The results of the studies will be transferred at territorial and sectoral level with other producers of the same crops in other Autonomous Regions and disseminate the benefits attainable by the adoption of eco-regimes.<\/p>\n
